Been out cleaning all day, a very nice couple who I clean for monthly and clean out gutters yearly came out to me and said they would like to skip the October yearly gutter clean as another window cleaner had knocked on and quoted at a quarter of the price I charge (I charge £60) and they couldn't refuse saving so much money.. Sensing something fishy whilst cleaning the windows I checked the gutters and they where full of sand and Moss all the way round the house. No idea of the other window cleaners name but iv seen him cleaning houses I have binned off due to being moaners/bad payers etc. How low can you go?

Yeah I told the homeowner straight away it sounded a bit dodgy, I showed him the amount of stuff still in his gutters. the other window cleaner is shoddy, he's got a car battery wired to a pump connected to a barrel on a sack barrow... Iv seen him fill his tank with a customers hosepipe
Says alot

I cleared gutters on a back to back house, so one short run and charged £20 because they were badly blocked and i had to drive out of my normal area. Next door neighbour (widowed old lady) told me she paid a door knocker £100 to do hers the week before but, surprise surprise they were still overflowing. I had a look and he hadn't touched them. I cleared them for free; took me 10 minutes. Robbing numptys indeed...reflects on all of us. They need to be stopped. Worth warning vulnerable customers about. good topic.

To be honest, you clearing the gutters of two houses for £20 reflects just as badly. You obviously ripped the first one off because you didn't think it was worth payment for your time on the second one.

8 weekly its called doing a good turn for someone vulnerable , not everything is about making more money , I am sure he got as much satisfaction from the job as an extra £20 would of made to his life
