I did two small rooms @ £140+ today, got home for 12, answered a few calls and booked another 3 jobs in for next week, then finished painting the outside of my house.

They are just renting the machines.
"Supply High-Power Hydromist Carpet Extractor & Specialist Cleaning Chemicals - Fixed Charge"
Hydromist machines are those small machines you drag along, like a rug doctor.

Do you like painting David? I hate it very boring and takes longer than you think. Plus, you'll earn more if you pay someone else to do it while your out cleaning. ;)

I would of under cut them and truckmounted it ;D

Hah, here's a copy of my facebook posting today:
"I love painting(!). I've been painting the outside, upper floor windows today. I took a nice coffee break during the unexpected heavy rain shower. Had great excitement nearly falling off the ladder. And, for good measure I painted my teeshirt, arms, face... coffee cup, and now I'm having a go at my keyboard and desk!"

Then you'll be a negative £5 profit/loss after you account for fuel etc.

Susan's hoping everyone takes her advice, goes bust, then she'll be the only carpet cleaner left in the whole world :-)

On another post Susan says she has retired so she must have had a successful formula or her dad who started the empire did

Angela used to or still does ?offer a course on Ebay on how to be a successful Carpet cleaner.
I think there was one on Domestic cleaning also

Talk about turning a negative into a positive!!! Look at the last paragraph.
Swindon carpet cleaners have an arsenal of machines to choose from. We have used every type of machine there is and we always use the machine what we consider is best suited for the job.
Sometimes this may be a large high powered model, but we always will use the right machine for the job so that it has a minimal effect on the long term life of the carpet.
The correct machine is not always the largest and most highly powered. Remember, we want you back in your rooms within around an hour so we will never "overdo" the process.

People who fall for this deserve what they get. Not my market. Not interested in these cheapo so called professionals. I run a business not a charity.
