Title: rainwater
Post by: Window Lickers on September 18, 2014, 05:17:39 pm
We've just had a downpour here.

Whilst the intial rain water coming off the roof had a TDS of 22 after flushing for a couple of minutes it was flowing through the pipes at a loverlee 10PPM. I keep thinking about harvesting this stuff.

just be careful how you use and store the water more chance of water borne deceases as water is not clean to start with . not sure but this may have been reason for my illness 2 years ago now ditched rainwater harvesting as not worth the risk

In the process of rainwater harvesting .would seem you really need a UV light to keep water safe

Water is not clean to start with?

Rain water is cleaner than your tap water until it hits a dirty surface, the same health problems can come from storing any type of water if you don't store it correctly

leaves etc getting into the tank and contaminating it .

there is no extra risk with rain water .

Rainwater isn't clean to start with? I'd rather drink rainwater than the crap that comes out of our taps these days.
