I need advice on how to speed up carrying my hosing in and out of jobs.I do a lot of of large 3 storey houses and I prefer to leave my machine outside with approx 75-100ft of hosing attached.Putting this lot in and out of bags is a pain, and draging it collects too much dirt.Is there a hose reel available that is big enough and light enough to carry to and from the van.My soloution hose runs inside the vacume hose,so it`s not too heavy. Also if I did`nt extend all the hosing would I lose a lot of suction due to half the hosing being coiled. Please do`nt advise buying a truck mount !!!!!!!.

How about four 25ft hoses instead of one 100ft hose?
-
You will lose a lot of recovery strength in that you have a solution hose inside the vac hose. You should really think of running two hoses like it is recommended too. Other than that I dont think there is aquicker way to move around hoses. Surely a few minutes to move hoses isnt that much of a problem, best, DAVE.

I run a CFR 500 OZONE porty and that`s the type of hosing that they use. It`s made up of a 33 and two 25ft lenghts thats the optimum lenght recomended.Ihave a 25ft piece from a ninja which I sometimes tag on,this has the soloution hose running parallel but the weight difference is huge. The diameter of the soloution hose is double that of the CFR,I do`nt know how anyone drags even 50ft of that around a house.Someone has sugested using a large colapsible laundry trolley and dump the hoses in to it,I suppose I`ll then spend 30mins untangling it all.Ah well,I think it`s back to the drawing board!!!
many thanks

25 footers in a mid sized round hose bag securely attached every couple of feet with heavy duty cable ties. Carry a couple of hose hooks with you onto the upper floor levels. Make your first reel a 50 foot and get down the gym ;D

Hi Rice,I see you use the CFR machine are they as good as people make them out to be? Do you use conventional chemicals with this machine or microsplitters? and how quick does the carpet realy take to dry? Best regards Stuart Clark.

Stuart, you can use what ever you like, AMTECH push there micro splitter in preference to CFR soloutions. With the ozone machine only CFR`S O-Z CLEAN or microsplitter is compatible as the ozone in soloution will destroy anything organic which would include conventional cleaners. The ozone is activated just with a switch at the back of the machine,so if you feel the need to use for e.g a high ph cleaner you just switch it off. After cleaning if there`s a need to sanitize you empty, refill switch to ozone mode and go over the carpet again.
My market is all domestic so I rarely come across the heavy stuff.Cleaning results are a1,and I normally use a downdraft air mover to dry, approx 30 mins for aliving room.By the time I`ve cleaned the next room the last one is dry and so on.Ichose the ozone over the perfect heat model because Ifelt it had a unique selling point ,but it depends what market you`re after
By the way,I`ve yet to empty the machine in the middle of a job, just every hour stick the hose under a tap to keep the tank full [there`s only one tank] the vacume sucks the water in and off you go again. My preference in chemicals at the moment is the CFR`S because you can prespray and put some in the tank which means less time aggitating. I`d recomend the machine to anyone.
sorry for going on a bit too long

Rice,
The CFR ozone that you have got should not have an inline heater, I think. Do you use an external heat exchange system or do you just fill your machine with a hot water from customer's tap?

Arthur

Arthur, I clean with cold water all the time, all CFR`S except the new perfect heat model run on cold. There`s no room inside the ozone model for a heat x but you could allways use a clip on if you needed one.I do all domestic so the only blacktop I come across is kitchen doorways even then it`s just a prespray, aggitate and rinse,no problem.
AsIsaid above I prefer cfr`s O-Z CLEAN which is especially designed for ozone use, primarily because Ican put it in the tank as well as prespray,so for light dusty areas I can go straight on it without prespray or aggitation and save a lot of time. With microsplitters it`s prespray only, but both will work equally well.
