Title: price match good / bad ?????

Hi,
I have got a few comercial quotes to put forward is the offer of a price match a good or bad thing ?
I did this with one company and they said it was not the price but the time it would take to do the job.Help here would be nice

Always go in with your best price and never compromise on quality of work.

You will find that overall you will gain more work than you lose.

I do take a little longer than others as i like to do a good job,i feel that little extra makes a differance,but!!!! i have a higher price than some others out there
so i wondered if i worded it as ( I WOULD CONSIDER A PRICE MATCH ) on another writen quote. If nothing else i would see what others are charging for there work.
Its a small area where i come from and i have to keep ahead of the competion.
