Title: FLEAS

With summer around the corner. Pets spend a lot of time outside, and fleas come in. Is there any treatmemt that can be used when fleas set up home in the carpet. A lot of people have this problem but are to affaid to admit it. A service in this area could be a money earner, any advice on how to treat fleas in a carpet would be helpfull.

Post by: craigp on April 08, 2006, 07:54:55 pm: im no expert on this, however i had a customer once who had her daughters dog for a week, after giving the dog back the fleas stayed, she tried everything to get rid of them, finaly she called me in to clean her carpets, i cleaned them in the normal way HWE.

one year later she had me back, thats when she told me that after i cleaned her carpets the first time she never saw fleas again!, i was unsure, but she was adiment it was that got rid of them, HWE.

Post by: carpetclean on April 08, 2006, 09:48:39 pm: try NO INSECT which you can get from solutions in cornwall . the stuff is amazing kills them all and is consumer friendly which means you can spray the place with out moving anyone out as its non toxic to humans or pets. i treated a 5 bedroomed house with it and the woman was very pleased as she was so infested with the little things. i prayed everything i could including bedding , curtains and upholstery as well as the bare floorboards

I always assumed you had to get a pest control company in to treat fleas and you need a license to apply such chemicals.

How much does 'no insect' cost and what sort of coverage do you get?

Could be an interesting add on!

Michael
You're CC supplier should have it. I use Stapro Insecticide at the moment, have used Coopex in the past.
Looks like a sachet of brown talcum powder, mix with water and spray BUT WEAR A MASK!
Provides a residual treatment of the carpet and can take a few days to work properly in bad cases, so tell your customer not to vacuum too soon.
