I used to use one of these pump up handle types, they will pump the water up to a 4th storey windows no problem.  They are also lighter as there is no electric pump and no battery.

i used 1 doing 2nd floor windows of a OAP home

1 guy pumped and the other used the 10 M pole

did the job till be got the trolley system

infact i have 1 now still for hard to access jobs (i do 1 that i have to climb over a flat roof, so i just use the backpack, also have 1 with loads of steps, so i grab the backpack and away i go)

well worth 10 quid to be honest

ive just biught one and they are ok it says will pump 1.3ltr per min .
question
how do i modify it to use it with my pole.

also netto were selling submersible 910watt pumps my pump is 450 watt and pumps 150ltr a min so these must be pretty powerful , i might buy one as a spare they are only £19.99

thanx

i unscrewed the switch / lever thing, then pushed some normal size hose over the end of the pipe (you will have a metal ring attached to the end, thats what pushs upto the switch, then i used a jubilee clip to keep the hosepipe on, then put a hoselock connection on the end of the short bit of hosepipe

that hoselock just connects to the pipe for my pole

if any1 needs pics, i can take em tonight
