I can easily imagine your problem. I was watching a couple of very professional blokes cleaning a block of flats in London a while back and they were using what must of been a 40ft pole.  Its big alright. But what a lot of work there is in London for a setup like that.

We recently bought a 60' CF pole from Brodex.........now that's fun trying to get it up!!!....NOT.

Only use it on one job but it has paid for itself already.

I could ideally do with a set of small "wheels" or rollers to fit on the reverse side of the brushhead so that the pole can be turned over and rolled up the wall.  Does anybody do these?

I recently saw something like that on ebay a while ago, there was a link from this site to it ... probably gone now though

you lift it from window to window raising it up the glass and then lift over the brickwork.

David,

Once its up it's not a problem, its getting the bl**dy thing up to full height that is the hard work!

The 60' pole is in 8' sections, as I'm only 5'8" (on a good day), it's hard work, even with two of us doing it.

I want to get the first couple of sections up, rest it on the wall and then use the rollers to run it up the wall as we extend it.

Heres how i do it.

Rest brush head on glass, slide to the top of the glass then extend pole via the clamp as far as you can without taking the brush off the top of the glass then lift to window ledge above then extend pole again.

then raise brush up glass to the top of the pane then repeat the above until you are at the required floor.

If you are small get your self a small platform to stand on,

You should not have any problems as long as you keep it a  shallow angle.

Heres how we extend the 45 footer we use.

Stick the base against something that isnt going to move.

Get a pole with a v shape (metal coat hanger) and push the thing up in the air whilst walking back towards the base.

No problems
