Title: Cleaner Planner
Post by: Window Lickers on September 03, 2014, 08:35:39 am
If you take on a new customer with varying frequency, an 'as and when ever requested' basis or 'as requested'. what setting would you  use in the frequency setting?

Thanks in advance.

We use one off frequency - but I am sure Rob would happily add in Ad Hoc  as an option

EAsy to mark as paid - go to debt list find customer click the pay button it brings up a screen and choose payment method (ie cheque) then choose save payment - thats it.

Hi Matt - yep, I did notice you have quite a few "customer will arrange" jobs when I did your import so this is something we need to address. You can set them up as "one off" jobs in CP (thanks for the tip Paul and Smudger), only problem with that is when you mark them as done on the worksheet they will then automatically set to "Complete" when you submit the sheet, and will therefore not be visible in your job list if you're only showing "Active" jobs. Maybe having an "Adhoc" option as well would be the way forward? Easy enough to add in.

That said... if the customer does want to rebook the job, I imagine they will contact you (rather than you having to remember) in which case all you have to do is search the job list on the customer's name, address or reference and he/she will appear for you to set "Active" and schedule in (or just add straight to a worksheet).

Further thoughts? I think before I add another scheduling option I need to be absolutely sure it's necessary as I don't want to clutter things.

Hi Susan - did you figure out how to mark a debt as paid? If not let me know and I'll walk you through it. Thanks Smudger and Concept for helping out :)

I see Rob has now incorporated a 'Recurring Expense' facility in the expenses section of CP. Thanks Rob!

You're welcome Matt, thanks for nudging this up the list as I think most people who use the expenses tab will find it handy :)

For those who haven't tried it yet (only uploaded an hour ago!) just check the "Recurring" checkbox under the date when adding an expense and then input the schedule e.g. 1 months.

It will then automatically recur one month later and every month thereafter.

Totals are on the way! No need to manual update, it will come through the app stores automatically. Remind me are you on Android or iPhone now? I know you were looking at switching.

Also the format of the days on the Planner page - why dont the columns on the left just start on a monday, so you can view your week and maybe have a running total on the top of each weekday column of how much youve earnt each day and also so far that week in a cumulative sense perhaps?

i thought the totals at the top of each column were what you earnt?

Just catching up :)

Planner columns - now start on Monday in 28 day view (were already starting from Monday in 7 and 14 day view).

Planner totals - are already there just below the day and date. If you select "Show > Done jobs" from the dropdown top right it will also include done work.

Mobile app totals - coming in the next (imminent) update to the mobile app along with expenses tab and various other tweaks and improvements. Update will come via the app store when approved.

Weekly turnover - you can find this under the "Accounts" tab where you can also see daily and monthly turnover (charged or collected) and filter by payment method and user.

BTW - there's a forum built right into Cleaner Planner now (tab top right next to "Settings") that might be a more appropriate place to ask CP specific questions and suggest features:

Hi Dave, worksheets in Cleaner Planner stay on the mobile app until you either submit or delete them. So if you lined up a sheet for Friday but didn't get all the jobs done, you can leave the sheet open (unsubmitted) and all the jobs will still be there on your phone on Monday. You don't need to reschedule the jobs (i.e. drag them forward on the planner) to get them to show up again.
