Post by: richywilts on August 28, 2014, 07:21:27 pm
for my info@windowcleandirect.co.uk email i have to read them through this site http://mail2web.com/ to be honest its pretty crap as cant setup folders and things my web designer has recommended using ms exchange which is cloud based similar to microsoft outlook it cost £4.99 a month tho apparently just wondering what peoples views are on it is it worth it with extra features etc

Who's your web designer?
Nat did mine, I have email through the site but it links perfectly through MacMail.
Might be worth asking Nat if his service would be better than current...?

i hardly used it before i went away because of it but ive used outlook before and quite like it good for organising your month etc colour coded calender schedule but the one im on at minute is awful, the web designer uses this one himself

Ping Nat an email-it'll cost you nothing to find out.
His service is second to none, Rich.
Well priced too.

I've used ms exchange for email before, it's fine. Exactly the same as every other IMAP email service.  It tends to work best with outlook as the email client, which is fine if you like Outlook (which I don't).

Most website hosting includes email which you can setup to run as IMAP ( so auto synced folders, webmail login etc) no problem.

You can still use outlook with that (though you may have to actually purchase it) but personally I wouldn't bother. I'd use Thunderbird, an excellent and FREE email client that leaves outlook in the dust as far as I'm concerned.

It also has an excellent calendar add-on too, that's fully customisable.

I can't understand why you'd need to pay for separate e-mail services - the current e-mail server should be able to connect to your phone/macmail/outlook surely?

ive not got the phone back for the business yet nath, should be getting everything this week, ive always just accesses it thru the website in the original post but ive never been able to organise files and folders etc and havent got a contact book on there etc and no calender

im not very technical so ive just stuck with it but i want to get away from using my personal email for work so started looking into other ones
