As above really, looking to get another vehicle on the road for occasional wfp as most our work is trad as most of our work is larger Manor house with old leaky leads..
Anyone got any pics they can post of there setups and pro's/con's... I realise it will be heavier on juice but want a truck with dual cab so I can take the kids out at the weekend when the wife has the family car..
Cheers

I really really really want a 4 x 4 pick up and am trying to justify it to the wife. She says there's no point but I want my little lad to realise his Dad is supercool!
;D ;D ;D

Ask solar Steve, im sure he uses one.
-
Used a L200 for over 3 years without issue , most lads who ask don't bother getting one so I won't go on about it . Mike

How many kids do you have as a new shape Dispatch or similar will take two plus driver.
-
My brother runs a Warrior (L200)
He loves it.
Only real problem I can see with it is you can't get a pole in the load space.
He puts his pole diagonally through from passenger foot well to behind his head.
I like the idea if a truck but that would do my head in.

Then buy a Club Cab version = four seats + two doors = 6.1 feet loadspace
Eq to Ranger Supercab / Navara King Cab etc

Not sure about the MK5 yet...

When he bought it, it was his only vehicle & he's got 2 kids.
The seats are ok for short journeys with very young children but not much cop in reality.
I've not seen the Nissan or Ford version of the same thing though. Perhaps they're better.
I'd like an Amarok myself.
If they do a model long with 6' long loadspace I'd be on it!

I have 4 youngsters... Pole will be on a rack on top with ladders..

See if you can find a tata loadbeta double cab, as not only will it be dirt cheap, they have a full length load bay!
A bit cumbersome mind you ;)

Lol.
Not my cup of tea bud.
I only want German vehicles on my drive ;D
I feel an Amarok coming on-and I can see regretting it a year down the line too.
Thinking of leasing to alleviate the issues...

I'm changing from a 2008 Citroen dispatch next year to a new ford ranger wildtrak. I will be able to get a 350ltr tank installed which will allow me to close the roller blind type top. Will have it fitted with a built in booster pump for super fast filling and an immersion heater fitted for the colder months.

I would get a fullbox sports cover like mine or similar J.D it gives a bit more height in the back to place things on top of tank if needed such as telescopic ladder wet jacket in bad weather etc .
Search for Alpha fullbox sports cover , they dont cost much more than a roll top a good auto electrican can also wire a sensor in the back into the main alarm which means the alarm will go off in anyone tries to get into the load bed . Mike

Thanks for that mike. ;)

Your welcome ;) ;)
