Hi guys, about to purchase my first slx 25... I work from a freedom trolley but just need to know if the brush it comes with is any good or better to pay extra for a different one? Just for general domestic houses etc with a few larger commercials with big open glass.. Also i'm assuming working off a trolley i would not bother with the hose connector? :)

Brush is excellent, just down to personal preference on trim and flocked and weight

Silly comment about the hose connector... The brush it comes with is super lite medium mixed dual trim.... also what is the gooseneck all about? Sorry to sound stupid but i am very new to wfp... Do i need this?

You will if you want to change the angle of the brush to keep it square to the glass between uppers and lowers

super lite medium mixed dual trim = awesome brush
just get a quik lok resi neck mate, will do you fine to start

Get a gooseneck they're great I wouldn't like to work without one. ;D

First of all great choice of brush you won't regret it with a gardiners, that brush is a great starter brush and all rounder, I used it everyday untill I tried an extreme brush and now use that as my regular cleans due to being much lighter but I still use the superlite for first cleans as it does give a deeper clean for those really dirty first time jobs.
Maybe look at swivel heads too they as a game changer for me being able to work at an angle and know the brush is flat to the glass!

Also not sure if your trolley pump has a pressure cut off but when I first used a trolley I had to keep an eye on my water all the time only having 25 ltr tubs and put an inline tap to stop the flow while moving around from front to back of house etc, it all adds up if your only carrying little tubs of water rather than run out the back of a big water tank!

Gooseneck's are a personal thing personally i dont like them and they are no good in tight spaces they just add extra weight to end of pole .
Just stick with the standard resi neck which can be adjusted in seconds to clean down the sides of connys etc and with a super lite brush and you wont go wrong . Mike

Thanks as usual guys for the advice. Will be purchasing today :-)

Gooseneck's are as light as resineck, I've never wanted to change the angle because it's spot on.
In tight spaces they're great.
Particularly when washing doors, the brush goes behind the handle.
Not a big thing but it all saves time.

Hi Mate
You couldn't go far wrong if you got the Sill Brush with the swivel resi-neck. Great combination for all jobs and the swivel is invaluable for over conservatories and working at odd angles and restricted spaces.

That's not a gooseneck that's an angle adaptor you're talking about. Two entirely different things.

Thanks guys.. Would you go for the option of going with the 'wide fan jets' then pencil jets? I don't really know the difference? Also the pvc hose connector that comes free..is this any good?

I go pencil - having used fan i feel there is less control with overspray.

Definitely pencil you get much more control id order a scraper as well theyre great for bird muck and pollen and consider the rubber brush guard it saves you wearing the edges of your brush on brickwork so you wont lose bristles you can get both from gardiners
