Title: What height pole is best for 6 storey?
Post by: harunh on August 13, 2014, 09:30:50 pm
Need a bigger pole to clean a 6 storey modern building. I was thinking of getting a Gardiners SL57. which has 57ft reach and 62ft working reach

Would that be ideal to reach 6 storey on a modern building ?

Thanks

Get an extreme 47 and 4 extensions.
That'll take you to 67'
Don't open all the extensions.
Use as many as you need and send back the surplus.

60ft should be ample as long as the ground doesn't fall away too far.

That would be very heavy. 4385g ! I think sl57 is the way forward - 2600g

Work out 10 ft per floor, then the amount of feet you need to step back from the building, then add it up.

I don't think the SL57 will be long enough. In my experience it's closer to 11' per floor.
And you need to allow for standing back from the building.
Just my experiences though-it may be just right-as has been said.

I had no idea the SL57 was so light, I've never used one.
The extreme doesn't feel 'heavy' though.
Let us know what you end up going for.

Sl modular pole is much more rigid than an extreme and lighter if you can cope with working with modular poles :)
