I've just been asked by a mate who's project manager for solar panel company to give a price for cleaning. He directed me to a row of houses in their portfolio which number 650 houses in total. There was a row of 7 bungalows with a total of 105 solar panels all easily accessible.
He's asked for a quote for these bungalows with a view to cleaning all their properties probably twice a year. It would also include normal 3 bed houses if I price correctly.
I'm thinking of pricing lower for bungalows and a bit higher for houses. Or do I go in with a set price per panel/property? If so, what kind of price? I've checked the forum and come across pricing from £1 to £5 panel.
Any thoughts?

I would do it per house. Don't know about your area, but I would say, what £30. It is specialist as only our poles will reach. Anything up to say £70 in a good area. Not my thing. I look at it as how hard Is it? bungalow is a piece of cake and takes a few mins. Less work than doing windows. Houses are harder. Don't forget its not windows though and the people on benefits with a ladder and squeegee cant do it :)

And you could die.
Have you asked your mate if he has a budget he has to work to?

I thought he was cleaning them, not jumping off them.

Thanks for the replies.
The bungalows he sent me to comprise 7 properties. The panels run constantly and number 105 in total 36 length 3 high minus a few for small chimneys. It's probably as easy as it gets. There's a few that are quite soiled with bird muck. I reckon on 45 mins to an hour.
I realise all of their properties won't be that simple and straightforward. I'm thinking of putting in a price per panel for bungalows and a price per panel for 2 storey.
I'll speak to him on the qt and see if I can prise a bit more info on budget. And I'm quite confident I will live through this. ;D

What a prat...'people on benefits with ladder and squeegee can't do it'.... I wouldn't get too carried away with your imagined superiority - you're still just a window cleaner!
And before you jump to any conclusions,I haven't got a chip on my shoulder because I'm predominantly wfp as well, although I still also do some trad.
We all know of,and get frustrated by the fairweather cut-price benefit claimants but that doesn't mean everyone on a ladder is. But what I find most objectionable is the implication that trad cleaners are inferior and treated as if beneath contempt.Sad.
