I have a Citroen Dispatch 07 onwards.
When I turn the steering wheel either left or right there is this horrible sound.
Best way I can describe it is its like that sound of coiled spring being stretched.
Any ideas whats wrong folks?

Scrap it... ;D
I'm no mechanic so no idea trip, but you have checked your power steering fluid?
-
Could be leaking fluid and need a hose replacing. I had similar on mine (older version) but my mechanic was able to repair the hose. Citroen wanted around £150 to replace it.

The power steering fluid is well topped up, better get it checked out, flipping van is always in use is the trouble

Its power steering. Air in system!

i would beg to differ, i would say its the strut top bearing

take it to lee the citreon specialist :)

There was a recall for a bracket on the steering
Might be worth a call to Peugeot

Or a dry track rod end. Pierce the rubber cover, pump some oil or spray lube into the joint. If the noise goes then change the joint.

A broken spring?

If you put it on either full left or right lock and hold it there. Does it make the noise? if YES its air. If no it could be a few things. Track rod end, wish bone (lower suspension arm) shocker rubbers etc etc. I am a mechanic....was... lol

Is it only making the noise on full lock or other times?
-
Does it make the sound when the van is stationary or do you mean when your driving and turn?
