Hi All,
I'm trying to put together a new welcome email that I'm going to send to new customers...
Does anyone else do this? If so what information do you include?

What do you think the customer would need to know that you couldn't establish when you quote or first clean?

I suppose I just want to send them a small FAQ type email with additional details... We clean in the rain / we can clean interior windows, gutters etc...
You don't always get a chance to tell a new customer everything at the door once they've accepted your quote, and they wouldn't remember everything anyway.
The email will also contain a link for them to register to use GoCardless for payments.

Don't tell them you clean in the rain unless they pull you about it, most customers wont even realise
this or care unless you bring it to their attention.
Its the same as telling them you might get some spotting on a first clean, it only causes them to check for
something they would have never noticed otherwise.
As for letting them know about your other services have a few leaflets with space at the bottom where you can write
a quote.
If while cleaning their windows you notice their fascia and gutters need cleaned then price it, write it
on the leaflet and post it while your there.
For online payments and so on I think its best to talk to them personally.

I always explain to the client that there may be some spotting on a first clean. I know for certain at least 5 new customers who would not have continued with my service if I had not told then to anticipate some spots. I ask them to inspect the windows once dry and let me know of any problems because that could also help me with the next clean in respect of the order I clean certain windows.

I provide a welcome pack to every customer.
When we had our canvasser down (p dale) he said it was one of the best setups he has ever seen.
I think he got us about 130 customers or something like that. A good 80% were out, they all read the pack, no one negative comment and i even had people quoting the information i put in.
best thing i ever did and designed.
