Hi all,
If your local to colchester and use wfp, I would like to try it out before I purchase a system, just get to know it and see how it works etc, if anyone is willing to pop by mine and let me test run it on my windows that'd be great, I've no expeirence with them, been trad for 6 years, please let me know!
Thanks,
Jake

ask them to take you out for dinner as well

It's hardly a major logistical operation mate, a 10 minute go and a quick chat! I'm
Only asking for a bit of an insight and a little go!

I think the point Alfie is making is that you do the travelling. ;)

I would delete this thread and start a new one offering a days free labour in exchange for some advice on WFP.
Be gracious if anyone offers mate, you're effectively gonna be the competition.
You may get a better response if you travel further afield too.

I thought it was a customer after a free one off clean :)
-
haha ;D ;D
-
ja ja all this for nothing! Do you want my customers too?
-
Amazing.
The op expects someone to spend the time and go free of charge to his house and show him and clean his windows for him.
How's that for arrogance?
There wasn't even a 'thank you' in the posting.
Incredible.
-
Can't believe he has no takers.
He is offering someone the opportunity to go out their way and spend half an hour cleaning someone's windows and not getting paid for it, and at the same time introducing more competition to the WFP scene.
Some people on this forum don't know a good thing if it slapped them right in their face.

after youve done his windows, pop by mine and give me advice on using my new toilet and if you dont mind me having a poope and wiping off the excess thatd be great. ta

Fecking hilarious, could you please take time out of your busy
day wibble making a living ,to go out of your way for my convenience
so i can have a go of your system.
Funniest thing ive read in ages ;D

Confirmation bias, bandwagon effect or what. I would imagine the OP is primarily looking to see what the end result of WFP is....Hence he want's to try it on his own glass, probably look from the inside, make's perfect sense to me.
He did ask for someone local, I would assume many on here may pass through his neighborhood from time to time.
It's not a bloody kidney he want's.

Surely he must across local window cleaners that use wfp
ive had quite a few trad guys stop me in the past and ive
had a nose round one or two van systems and these guys
have hardly been friends.
If there isnt anyone really local but in the colchester area
as he put it maybe it might be a good idea to offer to get off
your own backside and go to them.
Give a little get a little :)
-
Well its tried and tested by 1000s of window cleaners, at some point i reckon health and safety will force everyone into the water fed pole method.
Buy a system, watch videos on youtube, practice on your own windows and bobs your uncle.
Charge more and clean the frames and doors! Then you will pay for your system within weeks.
If you eventually swap over to WFP then on your last traditional month wipe all the tops of each frame! This should save you a lot of time.

Perhaps he has a reputation for getting his windows cleaned and not paying? ;D

Ok guys thanks for being nice...
I'm not able to drive at the moment as my car is having work done - yeah I forgot to mention this but wasn't expecting you all to jump on me!
Sorry!

So if you're say at home, doing nothing, hop on a train and go somewhere a bit further afield and learn as much as you can.
I'll give you a day next week if you want.

Jakey. I have taken people out for a day or part day and shown them the ropes. It's just that I would be unwilling to do it with someone local to me (I'm in Sussex). When I was contemplating switching to WFP, I drove 40ish miles into Kent to meet up with someone who generously took me around for a few hours. So, maybe consider getting a train to meet someone for a few hours who is outside your catchment area?

Sorry to sound rude. You don't seem to get it. You expect someone to take time and trouble to show you something all for free.
How about you offer to pay them?
Or how about you get a taxi to them or use public transport?
Maybe a bit of humility and gratitude?
Or better still, just simply go by the blindingly obvious evidence from this forum that wfp works.
The 'ok guys thanks for being nice' says it all.

This is my first post on here, but I've been reading for ages now.... I feel sorry that the original poster didn't beg, lick butt or plead with people on this forum to just show him the ropes.... Surely all of your comments are slightly tongue in cheek and playfull..... Sometimes requests aren't conveyed in a way which displays gratitude from the off, but I'm sure the lad, considering he has ninety odd posts is no divvy..... By the way, not a bad forum really.. Not my fave , but ok.. All the best.. Andrew
