Aldi have fishing field boots in stock on sunday ,these are a decent waterproof and light weight boot.waterproof rubberised bottom half of boot, top
half boot waterproof cloth material.
They have a removable washable polar fleece lining. These boots really
are a bargain and are as good my fishing chub field boots which cost
me around £50
These are £12.99 :o even if they only last one winter, you would have
more than your moneys worth.

lol

'cause ol' Bungee Jump Ben only uses Ionic gear. And he looks down upon you because you are buying cheap boots.
Ironic really 'cause the boots are at least brand new... ::)roll

It's French snobbery, mate; it's something the Normans imported into the British Isles.
Just ignore the Frog. ;D

Oh right! :)
well let me enlighten him,ive been fishing for over twenty five years
and have spent half my life either ankle knee or waist deep in rivers
and trawling through winter fields up to ankles in mud.
ive paid out over the years on the full range of boots, for example
my wading boots which are sims normally cost me £200 plus and
Skettex wellingtons i own which are brilliant for walking long
distances in are up to the£100 mark
My favourite waterproof boot for fishing and trawling round the
countryside in the winter are chubs these are a mid range boot
at around £50 and the aldi boot is comparable to this boot light weight
comfortable totally waterproof with washable fleece liners, this really
is a decent boot at a fantastic price, wont last forever you might get
two winters out of them but at £13 who cares.
Hope this helps :)

And we still never got a picture of bens van as he promised. Think his used ionic system might actually be backpack and 20 barrels. ;)

Is that experience talking Gary? I reckon your flip flops were nice pretty pink ones with little plastic flowers on them, you know, all girlie like. ;D
Seriously, at £12.99, I'll be buying a pair and if they're naff, I havn't wasted a small fortune as I have done in the past on winter boots.

I solemnly promise you that Gazza.
Especially if it's that important for you to meet me.
Never got the point of fishing. Unless you're gonna eat 'em.
I don't get time to scratch my arse let alone lurk on a riverbank for days on end.

I do keep thinking that.
But I have many hats to wear.
-
I don't need 'em - I take the winter off.
-
All this and all they will sell is size 6 :)
-
Aldi gear is fine ... cheap and cheerful but better quality than cheap and cheerful stuff elsewhere. You get medium quality at a low price IMO.
I use their boots and trainers for work and for leisure - walking gear and cycling gear - and motorbike gear.
But on the leisure stuff I'm a "jack of all those trades" and master of none! ;D
But the work gear/boots last a couple of years or more.
-
May one enquire why one is laughing matey! :)
i was laughing Gary because they are probably good for fishing but i wouldn't wear them for work, they look awful!

Yep chubs are great, the only difference between them and the aldi
is that chubs have a leather upper but got to honest the aldi boots
are actually more comfortable because of the upper they have.
Bit of advice if you are french or a self conscious or have the need
to needlessly spend loads of cash or french they wont be for you ;D
