I knew It would happen. Glad I wasn't asleep. Connected RI to tank as normal. Was on computer and heavens opened up. Took my mind away from filling tank up. I was texting customers etc..OOOPPS the water. Went out to van and water was flooding down path. Don't know how much or how long, but it was a lot. Thing is, my tank is near the van batteries. Luckily the drive slopes to th eleft and water exited side door, mainly missing everything.
Who as a link for that filling ball cock. It will still weep from joints, but stop me loosing loads of pure water. Thank God I didn't fall asleep for 3 hours ;D

set a timer alarm to go off on your phone

A few lads have got that kind of thing.
I wasn't happy with it though.
I've got a solenoid shut off.
How long have you been cleaning? How many overflows?
Try the timer thing on your phone.
Use to work a treat for me.

When i got my transit connect, i down sized from a 1000l tank to a 500l tank (with controller). As i was concerned i might run out during the day, i took the liberty of asking a few choice customers, if i needed to, could i use their outside tap to top up my tank (at the time i was di only). About a week after i started with the connect, i was at a large house late on in the afternoon, so to save time when i got home, i decided to top up. I did not realise that the property in question had very high water pressure, and while it would take 40 mins to fill my tank up at home, when i checked after about 20 mins, it was running out of pretty much everywhere!. Back door, side door, and front passenger door, after having filled the footwell (that is about 5") :'(

I just set mine up yesterday in between memebrane 4040 and di.. When the tank stops filling the rest goes to waste down the drain

Don't want to waist the stuff. Resin costs too much

i have a timer on my tap! set it for 40 mins or so, then it just shuts off,

Wouldn't it be better to put it before 40/40?

not on my system no there are 9 elbows including ball cork before it reaches 4040 so u won't maximum pressure in membrane.. Higher the pressure in the lower the Tds out..
I'm getting an extra 20tds lower this way

I shall have a look before i install mine. My tap pressure is close to 80psi tho

can you not fit a shut off valve in the tank?? the carpet cleaning tanks have them fitted and work well

I have to fill my tank in van direct from ro via garden hose out of my first floor flat window.
I simply drilled an additional hole just inside of the filler cap and fitted a barbed outlet to it, garden hose on this out through floor of van. A simple overflow. If I look out of my window and see water trickling out of the overflow pipe from under the van , i know its full and turn the water off.
