Title: Carpet protector/stain guard
Post by: Steven Butler on July 29, 2014, 01:24:50 pm
Which product do you prefer/use?
How many of your customers ask for protector?
Do you think they really work? By this I mean would you be happy guaranteeing people that there carpets really are protected from spillages etc...

Very few people ASK for a protector so it is up to you to tell them of the benifits, do they work? Of course they do! Remember that it's a protector NOT a stain proofer, and personally I never guarantee anything but if people have a spillage they can't get up themselves then I offer a free service to try to rince out whatever their issue is

Perhaps John Kelly may tell us but do you still need to be a licensee to buy stainshield professional?

I've already asked John, very helpful but i still want to know and hear from the CC's who actually use it.

Yes Chemspec Stainshield, good product and have never had one complaint from a client to date. Mind you I explain it correctly when selling it, which helps!

Make sure you get it from John at Restormate.

An iicrc course would tell you what you need to know, what to do, how to prepare the fibres, why you do it, what you can and can not apply it on, I bet the course would give you an idea on pricing structures.
