As title.
-
I remember Tadgh was talking about it and he sent me some via email.
Do you have some?
I'm still not convinced yet that virosol stains. Unless it's undiluted.
-
Did a job today. Overspray on to next doors gutters and stained it all over.
-
when ya say stained is it permanent stain or can u get it off with elbow grease
-
Used solvent and it's still marked.
Will upload pic
-
Try this stuff, doesn't stain glass even when undiluted, neutral pH, at least as good a cleaner as the high alkali ones like virosol and ubik, free shipping to ireland/uk, no i'm not connected with this product, i just use it.

Pure do you mean an orange stain?? If that's the case then yeah, I know what you mean...
Low dilution and not washing it off quick enough has caught me a few times on white gutters. Oh and leaving a custies door with a mottled finish :'( .. she didn't notice thank ....
-
Yep orange stained. Chap was ok. I still can't work out how he got overspray :(
Agreed to replace the gutter. £5 if that.

Do you do that yourself or get someone to do it?
I hate trying to fix gutters. Can be a pain. Lol
-
It's only a small section. Capable of replacing it ;)
-
I got some on my arm which had run down the roof and noticed a orange stain down it later on, washed off easily though
-
It will stain painted wood surfaces if used undiluted.
-
I changed to Citraclean for exactly the same problem. Undiluted or if left, so far, I've never seen a stain.
I did try neat bleach on a customers orange spotted door step - it didn't do anything to remove it. Luckily, they didn't notice and still havn't and if they have, they havn't said anything.
-
Still no pics?
-
I wouldn't mind one if you could throw in a frame as well.
We're a bit sick of the picture of the dogs playing pool on the living room wall.
-
Still no pics?
Who me?
If you can wait 2 weeks till I'm back doing the same job, I'll take some pictures.
-
The staining was bright orange spots.
Here is a pic after it had been cleaned several times and I had used
Solvent!!
It's not very noticeable but before it was.
-
Please understand this was OVERSPRAY onto
Next doors gutter.
-
I reckon you can get that with off with some magic sponges. Would save you having to replace it.
What dilution rate where you using pure h20 services?
-
That staining is after magic sponges. Solvents and washing about 10 times.
I wanted to take photos before I even touched it. But when you have the owner looking at every part of his property I was like sod this lol I need to get these cleaned quick smart.
It was about 1:5
Like an idiot I used virosol to use it up as I think it's rubbish. I got staining before with it you see.
-
I haven't used a sprayer to apply any sort of chem cleaner for a couple of years.
If I do use anything I apply it straight to the brush.
So never get any overspray problems. ;)
-
The job was massively under priced for what it was so i was in a rush, never have issues with over spray usually
-
I got orange staining on gutters before. It happened where there was muck on the places I had emptied the gutters. There seemed to be a reaction between the muck and the chemicals. I got it off using an acidic toilet cleaner and limescale remover. Hope this helps.

With me, I was using Virosol on some window sills to remove dirt, etc, by spraying the window ledges first before cleaning the windows with wfp.
When I was at the ladies front door getting paid, I looked down and noticed the orange spots on the plastic door step bit/thing which was odd as when I cleaned the door, there was no orange spots on the step.
It dawned on me that after cleaning the front door first and when spraying the window sill next to the door, the wind blew some of the spray on to the door step and had dried.
I'd also unconsciously noticed odd orange spots, stains, etc, on other houses and didn't really think anything of it but after that ladies doorstep, I realised Virosol was the one thing in common.
I've tried various things since then to remove the orange marks without any success at all so I'll give bog cleaner a go.

Hmmmmm,
This worries me. I have never had any problems with virosol but I don't want to get into trouble in the future. The most concentrated I use it is about 1-10 so that mayb helps.
Usually I do 1-20.
