Hey all. Ripped out the bottom of the van cos it was rotten and fibreglassed it. Then put a rubber mat cut to shape from countrywide stores (20% off at the mo) to take the impact of the reels. Looks cool I think. Fibreglass was a nightmare cos the temp in the van was over 30 deg. Even putting the correct accelerator in still made it go off really quickly. Should of done it in the evening. But hey, it's done now and looks cool!

Nice job,
Do you ever get any problems with your R.O. its just that an R.O. works better when the pure can flow
freely away from the membrane.
Yours would have to force the pure up into the top of the tank causing a back pressure.
Its better to have the R.O. positioned at the top of the tank for this reason.

Looking good 8)

Pity you didn't take the tank out and do the whole floor. The tank also sweats and the wood under the tank will continue to rot and do damage to the metal floor of van.
So in my books looking good and being a good job is two different things.

Hey.
No never get any problems at all. The water from the RO goes gently into the resin
Bottle at the top of the tank, and then drops into the tank. 5 years no probs. You don't need pressure once it comes out of the RO anyway.

No need. The wood was solid under the tank any way. No sweating.
Don't see the point in making a tuff job more difficult if you know what I mean! So it's a good job!!

Hey. If you go on the countrywide web site and I think it's called stable
matting for horses. It's 6ft x 4ft. They have 2 thicknesses 17mm and 12mm go for the 12
cos it is just enough and weighs a tonne !! 17mmis even heavier.

Hi Chez, thats a lovely tidy neat job you've done there, is that a brodex system you've got there, if so what number
do you have the controller on when working, just wondering had my system nearly 2 years now, and normaly work
with the controller on number 7 setting, just curious to see how others work cheers.

Hi Lal.
Thanks. Yes it is a Brodex system, I had the old analogue controller (the original 5 years old) replaced about 4 months ago cos it kept burning out. The new digital one is superb. I tend to turn it up in the summer to avoid spotting to about 64. This gives a real good flow rate but I'll adjust it as the colder months arrive..... Oh the dreaded winter. But that's a long way off!
Hope it helps

Hi Dave.
Yes I top coated it, the stuff where you have to add the accelerator and it goes off. Makes it a lovely finish and water proofs it. All the best with yours -show us a picy!
-
Cheers will post a pic when it's done. .. where did you get the gelcoat from? Do you have a link?

Hey Dave. I bought a pack with all tools rollers etc but they do sell gelcoat separately.
