Title: knocking for work

I got finished early today and decided to knock for some more work, i got quite a bit of work, but what makes me laugh is when you knock on a house that has got really dirty windows ask them if they need a window cleaner and they say sorry we have already got one thanks,   i think to my self either you cleaner is really rubish our your telling a lie
i wish they would just say thanks but i don't want my windows cleaned

has anyone come across this

Only a thousand times Paul. I prefer the more direct F*$% approach. At least i aint being lied to  :D
I think most people in here have heard just about every excuse under the sun.
Saying that, i bet i'll hear something in the next 6 months that will leave me walking away more bemused than i thought possible.  >:(
