Hello every one
Has anyone ever been asked to remove pigeon poo from pitched roofs, if so what would you use?

Never been asked to do it, but i guess the easiest way would be with a pressure washer. You could use an extending lance if the roof was unsuitable to walk on.
Don't forget though that working from the ground you are likely to blow water under the tiles. I would think hard about this work.... and price even harder.

Hi

Was asked to quote for a pigeoned up attic.

One look was all it took!

I called enviromental health and they recommended handing it over to a poo specialist, which I did.

apparently, if it is dry it carries about 19-20 different parasites, reaaly nasty stuff. On a roof it may be a different call, i will not personally touch it, (care about my health too much)

It is roof tiles position on the high street of a busy town centre Town centre, i would have to hire a cherry picker etc, not sure if i have enough insurance cover, am awaiting council opinion.  think i might say no or price very high!

Matt
Yeah I know it has roof tiles ::)are they slate, granule coated concrete?I can clean most slate roofs from the ground with my kit but anything else you are probably looking at p/w with safety harnesses, access lifts, life lines the full monty(Health & Safety :-/)  I wouldn`t recommend using cherry pickers for this kind of work Power washers and ladders don`t mix I`m afraid,my machine can put out 12ltrs a min at around 4,500psi which adds up to a kick like a mule when you pull the trigger!
