Clean It Up

I've realised in this very hot dry weather that its actually a little more difficult to clear out gutters using a gutter vacuum ! The really dry weather turns the debris into crisp dry cardboard like pieces that are difficult to suck up! The moss and grass etc need some moisture in order to make it more malleable to pick up with a vacuum ! Dry gutters are easier to clear than soaking wet gutters are but when they are so dry for so long it makes it more difficult in my experience! Anyone else find this?
-
Sorry if this is an obvious question as I do not do any of this kind of work but;
Why dont you just run water through the gutters first and allow it to soften before vacuum ?
-
Yeah we just wait for it to rain to do them or just do them November to March
-
It makes sense i suppose fellas but its an extra inconvenience to!
-
What vacuum are you using ?
-
Eastern Trading Samson. Though the company is now out of business !
-
Reason I asked is we have been using a small vac for a while as it a lot more portable, but it broke down so we have been using the bigger 3kw model thay Kevin sells, and it so much more powerful, so makes the cleaning easier.

You gotta link for it samson?

I don't like ringing Samson! I hate the sales pitch that companies often go into! Thanks though.....
-
Do you use a genny with Kevs wet vac
-
We do a lot of gutter cleaning and find the opposite. When it's dry it's much easier to suck out than when it's wet. It almost halts the time we spend on regular cleans. We use the Upkeeper and find it very good although I wouldn't recommend it for domestic as it's a bit bulky.

As above really, we have the omni vac which is pretty powerful.
With sludged up gutters you can find the hose gets heavy and full so you need to give it a drink every so often
