Title: O Ring
Post by: tony bish on July 16, 2014, 05:20:03 pm
Guys any ideas where I can get an O ring for my stainless steel pressure sprayer for when I pump it there is no pressure in the tube due to it having perished over the years .It is over ten years old .Any info would be helpful  :)

Just google o ring suppliers around your area.

Or just go to the supplier of the sprayer and ask for an "o" ring perhaps  ::)roll

failing that, if you measure your o ring eg diameter (Inside diameter outside diameter) & thickness you may find a supplier on ebay.

Either they are measured in mm or inches....can be a bit of a minefield but if you get something near, it should be ok.

Tried that ,there is no one nearby and you usually have to buy quite a few .
Thought perhaps someone might know of a company in the cleaning market who sell these specific o rings for pressure sprayers. But thanks anyway

Then i would give Prochem a call. Not everything is listed on their site and they are good to deal with. I also get o rings from them for my trigger valves which are never listed on their site.

Tony
They repaired my Gloria sprayer at Bartons in Molesey, Surrey.
Bit of a drive from you but it's a 10 minute job, phone ahead to confirm stock though.

Give GPS-sprayers.com a call. They are a right miserable bunch on the phone but all they sell are sprayers and accessories for sprayers.

used to have several o ring specialists around locally years ago, you would take your o  rings in and they would put their micrometre on it and hey presto for a few quid you could get loads of items repaired. I used to save things up and take a pile of things over at the same time. Sadly none of these specialists seem to be around any longer. There are so many different sizes. I have bought lots of kits over the years but still find many things that cannot be matched. they do have to fit precisely in order to do their job it is not just a case of finding the nearest size. If you go to the manufacturers very often the repair kits are not a lot cheaper that the parts you want to repair.
