ive not been bk long enuf so maybe bob plum can answer for me round are area but ive certainly seen more wfp cleaners than tradders im guessing 60/40 in favour of wfp round mine
-
In Andover 700,000 trad and on the dole, 6 WFP. :P
-
What is trad?
-
90% traditional in my area all long term guys who wouldn't dream of converting.
There's also a high percentage of problem windows in my area which I think keeps wfp guys
at bay.
-
I'm both and that's how everyone should be ;) ;)
-
About 80/20 in favour of trad in my area. South lanarkshire.
-
birmingham 70% trad
-
These figures are about as accurate as a Family Fortunes' public survey.
Anyway, my survey said: trad 75%
wfp 20%
waffle cloth 15%.
And if you answer 'waffle cloth' you win a gas barbecue.
And if you answer Ionics ppb system, I'll give you the money myself.

The street I live 2 ladder gangs work it plus 1 pole guy , but I tried canvasing a new estate a few weeks back ( got 3 by going in cheaper than there pole guy, he had only cleaned them once tho) one of the guys I spoke too gave me 14 busnesscards and leaflets ,he had saved . 9 pole guys and 5 ladder guys .
-
Tuns more WFP guys id say a good 70% on wirral are now WFP.
Plus a load more new starters! every other vehicle seems to be a window cleaner::)roll
-
bad isnt it dave do you get many new leaflets being posted to your customers
have you lost many to newbies
-
Prob 4:1 - Trad:WFP
2 years ago I reckon 10:1 - Trad:WFP
A lot of the new WFP cleaners have probably been reading on here how easy it is to earn £30/£40/£50/£60 per hour.

Its quite shocking how many you see on the roads now yes!! i said on here a few months ago .. 6/7 years ago you would see the same cars or vans each day and the same old fellas. Now its the same old people and vans with a load more newbies out there and it seems to be more and more every month.
I haven't lost any work to newbies that i know off as i don't really lose any only ones i drop myself, and i dont post leaflets so i wouldn't no. I don't do much work these days i only go out for a couple hours each day that does me.

I 100% agree!! this was another thing i said also.. this day in age its very easy for someone to come on to the internet and search "starting window cleaning" and this forum and all sorts of other stuff pops up with people saying there earning £50 an hour or something stupid like that! go back 10/12 years ago the internet although it was around and popular there was much less stuff about.
I also think that the wfp market doesn't help either like brodex/ionics as they will also get on the bandwagon saying you can earn £50 a hour with our systems to sell them to there market of newbies who have a bit of cash in there bank! there just stupid enough to listen to it.

I see more wfp fellas in Bristol , trad dying off slowly I reckon in ten years time it will be very rare to see a tradder
-
I think its about 50-50 in wiltshire.
Just down the road in Bath the vast majority seem to be WFP.
-
In Chester and surrounds I rarely see traders.
I'd say10:1 wfp/trad
