Title: web site
Post by: Steve H on July 10, 2014, 06:13:07 pm
Hi Chaps,
For those that have a website, can you point me in the right direction please.
I am looking to set up a new website, doesn't have to be anything fantastic but want it to look professional and have the option to change it/add to it myself as my business goes along.
I have seen that vista print offer an option to purchase a package with them, has anyone used this and found it good/bad etc.
Alternatively, does anyone have a particular person they have used to set it up for them, I know this is normally the expensive option but want it to be right obviously.
Many thanks in advance
Steve

Nathanael Jones is the man you want. He will do you a brilliant website at a very reasonable price. Nats website design and aftersales is second to none. I had a vistaprint website for a few years until I had Nat do me a proper website and I could not be happier.

JD did you find the vista print website ok before you switched over to the new one and why was vista print no longer any good enough - just asking out of interest?

Hi Steve. I thought the vistaprint website OK, basic but it was somewhere for my customers to get my details and to pay me for jobs done. I just wanted something which would look more professional and be easier found on the web. Nat also gave me a website that was mobile friendly and that really appealed.

In the domestic I found these

Should be a capital 'w' in we after payment.

Should be a gap after 'our methods.....'

Should be 'you're' and not your in if your still not happy...

Should be it's and not 'its free'.....

Should be eventually an accident will happen, not eventually and accident will happen

In commercial I found this

Should be a gap after the comma 'safety'

Will look at the other pages when I get time

My solar panel cleaning and TWC websites were both done by Discoverysquare. Great websites that have brought in an awful lot of work.  :)

5 Page Website for just £99

My first 2 websites designed by Rocket Website Design bring in absolutely loads of work and the new websites they just built for me look amazing as they have just updated the design software and are already shooting up the rankings. They just can not be beaten on price ( £99 design fee and £15pm to maintain and host the site ). They constantly work on the website as well, adding videos, text, content, blogs ect, all including in the price! They also specialise in cleaning websites so they know what they are talking about.

Title: Re: web site

KLEENAWAY - Of course you are not going to pay 3 x £15pm for 3 websites!
Although that's very cheap compared to many pay monthly website designers!

If you want any additional websites after the first one then their is NO design fee for the extra websites and you pay just £7.50pm per extra website ( half price ). Where else are you going to find that with constant maintenance and free videos designed ect!

Nathanael Jones -

It's basically a pay monthly website but the design fee is to weed out the tire kickers of which their are many. This design fee maybe coming down to just £59 from August or we may bring down the monthly fee to just £10pm, not sure yet, just looking at it. Rocket Website Design are not trying to compete with website designers who charge £500+ for a website with a years free hosting then whack the customer with a monthly fee. It is aimed at customers who won't or can't pay large upfront fee's and to make it a more affordable payment structure. I find most companies who charge £400/£500/£600 for a website design will design the website and that's it, just a bit of basic SEO and that's it, it's forgotten and if you want any more SEO work you are charged an extra monthly amount for silly money. I would just like to make it clear that i am not having a dig at other website designers on here, just some of my past experiences and i don't care what other website designers do on here tbh  ;D .This is all included in the Rocket Website Design Package and customers are not just forgotten but will also be given loads of free advice.

Oh forgot to mention their are no tie in's or contracts with this package and if you don't have a facebook business page then we can help with that totally free and included in this £99 package.

1) "Of course", you are saying that like its obvious, which is wasn't/ ins't from your first post.
2) I clicked on the link at the bottom of your reply for rocket design and it was just bringing up a blank window.
3) Without sounding like a complete a r s e, i went on your profile and had a look at your website and it doesn't look very nice. I understand that what google likes and what the public likes aren't always the same but it looks like an awful lot of text on the home page which i couldnt be bothered reading.
4) In your first post you said that "they" (third person)
In your last post you said "we" (first person)
    Is it your business???

Hi Danny.

Apologies if you took offence at the way I answered one of your questions. It came across to me like you where taking the pish, but may have miss read it  ;)

The link works for me  ;D . I will have a look at it.

The website you mention is from the old software as mentioned in the original post we are now using new software. These are 2 websites being built now from the updated software - www.burnleycarpetclean.co.uk and www.wowcarpetclean.co.uk. Their are a few more websites being built on the new platform that I can show later.
Title: Re: web site
Post by: Deep Cleaning Solutions on July 12, 2014, 11:54:08 am
Oh yes I agree the original site has too much text for even for me lol, but it's a case of if it's not broke, don't fix it and it does very well and is more of a organic site over time really. The new sites are much cleaner and shorter on text as you can see and even though the offer is for 5 pages we have added more free pages over time to add more content for free for many of our customers. We are building a site for a cleaning company in Cornwall at the moment and he can not believe what he gets for the money and keeps asking " what's the catch "  :)

They/We . It was a They but will soon be a We as I will be taking full control rather than subbing out, if that makes sense. I will be going more down this route in the near future and will also be offering a business booster package for commercial work that's worked really well for us soon.

With respect looks fairly basic about as much as you could do on a website builder like Yola.com or vistaprint all by yourself for £10.00 a month . Mike

I would definately recommend Vistaprint, I set up my website a few years ago on my own, it was very easy and with some good photo's it looks great, I have been complimented many times on my professional looking website! And only costs me around £10 a month!
Title: Re: web site
Post by: Deep Cleaning Solutions on July 12, 2014, 07:06:34 pm
Yes Mike, no worries you are correct, but the cost is basic and you get lots of freebies included and the established sites dominate their search terms, so it's all about value for money. Like I said, if you want a fancy website pay fancy prices or if you have champagne tastes on beer money then we are not for you. All I know is you will struggle to get what we offer for the same money, trust me I have been there and seen all the false promises!

£5 a month for hosting is all - - but you've always an option to sort out your own hosting & then there's zero on-going cost,..

You have no choice but to pay a monthly hosting fee otherwise your site can't be on the web , You need servers to have your site on the web and for people to see it and view pages unless you have a few grand and a spare bedroom . Mike

You need to pay for hosting regardless - but if you already have it for a different website you can stick with that (Often one hosting package will hold multiple sites). Unfortunately though there's no such thing as decent quality free hosting & many of the cheapo options are unreliable & slow. :(

Ben-are you with Nat now?
If so, I wouldn't jump ship.
I've had hosting with other people/sites.
The time saved through not having to keep on top of it or them is definitely worth the fiver.

Either switch over to Nat or TSO Hosting , which was recommended to me by Nat and they do the cloud hosting for Nats sites I believe .

TSO are very professional and answer any questions very quickly from memory I think the support team are their 24hrs to answer email queries . Mike

Yep - TSO host are fantastic - I learned my lesson about cheap hosting & even though TSO costs more than any service I've used previously, its worth every penny.

I'm actually upgrading my package with them at the moment - my VPS server is nearly full already!!

I am with vidahost. Costs me around £50 a year and i believe its cloud hosting which aint that reliable or something. Had 15 minutes down time in like 4 years so really happy with them.

Have to say the £99 websites are not my cup of tea at all. At best it looks like a free one. Sorry.
