Hi All,
Is anyone out there working on Easter Bank Holiday Monday?
Do you charge extra? or do you put client on another day?
Just a thought ???

Our T&C give the customer the option of having a clean on another day. However, if they insist, they are charged double the rate for bank holidays. We have to charge the extra, as we struggle to get staff to want to work on a bank holiday for normal pay.
A couple of pubs that we have contracts on pay up no problem as it is obviously a busy time for them. However, most domestic contracts simply change the day.

Luckily we have no one working on any bank holidays, but any that do are paid double and the clients are charged accordinly ;)

In our Terms and Conditions, it states:
".....and is based on a 52 week per annum charge and include Bank Holidays. Any customer requiring work to be done over a Bank Holiday will be charged extra."
So we have accounted for it in the price.....and the staff are paid for that day even though not working for that day. However, if the client wishes us to work on that day, we charge for it, thus the staff get double time for it.
