Title: Ionic Pro 5 draining battery
Post by: Steve Lowe on July 05, 2014, 05:44:35 pm
Hi
I have an ionic pro 5 machine fitted in my Ford Connect 230 and it has suddenly has started draining the battery on bigger jobs.
The van has a new battery but had to call out AA yesterday and they said the system takes to much out of the battery and I should leave the van running on bigger jobs.
It has always been alright up to now but I don't do so much travelling now so not putting enough back into van battery.
Any suggestions ?

Get a 110ah leisure battery to run your system and an intelligent split charge relay to charge it off the van battery.
When you switch the van off, the system will only draw from the leisure battery. when the vans on it charges both so no flat van battery

Looks like you'll have to connect a charger every night and give the leisure battery a full charge.....

Try grippatank, they know there onions on split chargers

Mr Lowe

Put 2 batteries in with the system
Just put a new system in new van twin batteries no problems

Expensive way of doing it but no problems

Thought you would have been retired by now

Regards

Bryan
