Title: acrylic sealer, how long before rain?
Post by: Roland S on July 03, 2014, 11:55:16 pm
Hi

I'm meant to be sealing a small drive tomorrow. I've just checked the weather and rain is forecast for about 5 hours after I apply the second coat. Do you think i could get away with that in this warm weather? The product says to leave 8 hours and I would under normal circumstances but I would really like to get this job out of the way if possible. Anyone got an opinion?

Well I took a chance so will I find out tomorrow either with a call from the customer or when I pick my cones up on Monday.

Yeah it rained and is still chucking it down now, so when I know I'll report back, may be useful to someone one. It tends to be dry enough to walk on after a couple of hours I'm just not sure how far it has to go beyond that to not be affected by rain.
