a few months ago the daily mirror had a table of what the average windie earned the claimed there was 11.000 window cleaners and that we earned a little under £12.000 each more tellingly it reported that almost all jobs around the job market all but a just a few % had increases in wages but window cleaners and waiters had an average 10% CUT IN AVARAGE WAGES :'( :'( :'( the only trades to take a hit
so all the years I have been listening the forum on how much we earn lets all tell we are average that's what they expect and that's what they'll get

I would say that would be for window cleaning employees and not self employed.
Judging from some of the back posts on what the guys on here pay their employees I'm not surprised.

I think you both missing the point, i thought it was tongue in cheek as we have so many i earn xxxx amount threads & the op was trying to balance it out , maybe when the next wanna be windy comes a lookin he will read this

I think what he was saying was - let the general public believe those figures. I'm quite happy with that, can't see the constant need to brag my hourly rate all over the internet every night like some twerps do.

I would like to see that?? Show my full timers so they know how good they have it... £12000... I wish it was anywhere near that low...

I'm quite happy with that report,especially if hmrc have read it and think £12 k is the average wage for our industry.
I feel it might be exaggerated ,and I hope one day I will hit that figure.!!!!
