Is this a new thing? Quite worrying really, if these eventually get sold sold on B&Q etc i can see a lot of people buying them.

Let them waste there money,nobody wants to clean windows exept windy cleaners.

I don't know :-\ the average customer paying £12.00 a month to have there windows cleaned would save a fair bit over the years.
Also I find most people don't really want them cleaned once a month anyway, so one of these things would prob last them a few years before buying a refil!

and by the time you've messed around with:
'Increasing the cleaning life of your Pod
You should clean the window initially with tap water without the pod connected, then use the Pod water to rinse leaving a crystal clear finish. For areas like guttering and fascias there is no need to use purified water. Simply use the high level water fed pole to clean these with tap water.'
So after you've cleaned your conservatory, car, garage doors and all the other household items and the small amount of resin contained within the pole has been decimated by the 300-400tds of your tap water you'll then start to wish you'd paid that bloke with the van £10 per month as the £120 for the pole is now looking mighty expensive...

anyone who works 6 days a week aint gonna want to clean windows on his1 day off esp having to do it once with tap water then with pole pod water .......... im out ;)

Ionics have been selling a similar thing (exact same idea) for years & I've never seen one in private hands in the 10 years I've been using WFP.

Coupled with no idea of a decent technique of cleaning, leaving nice dribbly streaks and spotting galore. Winner!
Hopefully each pole comes with a recipe for humble pie for when the smug "I'll do them myself" householder has to ask to be taken back on. Oh, and some preparation H to ease the sting of the resultant price rise ;D

If it is Brodex there is no need to worry.
I once waited so long for a delivery off them for resin, I bought from somewhere else and refused the delivery a month later.

why is it worrying?
some people will buy them but its just like bread makers,foot spas etc.used a couple of times then sat gathering dust in the corner.
most people are time poor.the last thing they want to do on their day off is clean their own windows,f/s/g and conny roof!
oh and another thing.hard work with an alloy pole!esp if your not used to using them.21 foot wont reach a lot of windows(3 storey,velux etc)forget solar panels on roofs unless you have a 40ft+ pole! ;)

I'm sure somebody made a refillable version at some point for around £100 ? Seemed a sensible piece of kit for car cleaning etc for us as we already have resin in stock...

Got this email from them when i asked how long it would last
"With a TDS reading of 300 which is really hard water you will be able to clean a 3 bed semi detached house around 10 – 15 times with our pole pod after you have cleaned with tap water.
Once the pod has been consumed and you can check this with your TDS Meter (Anything above 004 - 006 will leave spots and streaks on your window) or you will need to do is replace the pod."
At 150 notes for the pod
thats costing10 to 15 per clean and at that you may as well pay a windie?

Ahh just realised a new pod is 50 but you still have to clean your own windows for a year or more to break even, and if youre up north where its reet grim and you only get 8 notes for a 3 bed semi thats knocking on for two years

I have a custie who has one like that. The husband uses it to clean the connie roof. Until it ran out and now they get me to do it! They are quite good, but the resin can get spent quite quick. Could see a few people that would buy one and get rid of the shiner to save a few quid over time.

I can see that THIS particular product is not the best. But if a company like karcher decide to bring there own out, with easy refil cartridges for example...I'm just saying it is a little worrying isn't it? Ah we'll time will I suppose

Thats what i thought too, although lack of a Geographical address makes it hard to know for sure.

Never worry about what you cant change,
they will only make a mess of it anyway.

I guess if they are really up for doing their own windows they will anyway no matter how they do it or with what. You always come across people who do their own.
Same with car washes. You can buy a bucket and sponge and do it yourself. But most will still go to a car wash to save time.
