Alright guys.
Got a big plot to quote, but due to drainage being less than minimal, the only way to go is a wet vac into a manhole.
any one know of places that hire out Mossys with a wet vac port. Any hire companies or even pressure washing companies that also hire gear.

I enquired about hiring a wet vac from local tool hire shop. They said they only recommend about 2 metres of pipe because the longer the hose the less suction. I agree with this but still i wouldn't have thought you would loose much over 10ish metres. I didn't find out thw model spec of the vac apart from its a large one.
Thwy just aaid about using a long dump hose into a manhole.
I mean sod pushing the vac round every 2 metres as I clean

you could run 100ft on a triple vac no problem i run a triple vac ets with 10 metre hose and it sucks like feck some carpet machines run 200ft hose and its more than powerfull enough i would say 15metre (50ft) would be sound mate

Just to follow on.
Hire company loaned me the machine for free for the weekend to get used to it. The actual job doesn't start til mid August.
So i have had a bit of a play today, although not through a mossy.
The vac is a twin motor (don't do triple unfortunately) and I had about 4 metres of hose on it. I didnt seem to lose much if any suction, so gonna go with about 10 metres for the job.
Would a double motor be capable of keeping up with a mossy with vac port? Even if it sucks up 70% of the water i would be happy.
The dumping side of the vac i am going to put straight down a manhole.
Finally, is there an easier way of doing this, the vac has a 90L capacity, so I would have to empty it every 5 or so minutes, so on a big job this is going to take an age. There are some parts of the job i can get away with not relying on the vac so will save time there. But is there another method that would not require stopping every 5 minutes? I understand how a vac works and you cant defy physics.

some vacs have an automatic dumping facility that automatically empties when full, i know a lot of carpet cleaners have this option so might be worth looking round to see if you can find a vac with this.

Its worrying that I have agreed with Christine twice in one day - I would get my tsunami out. If you must have a vac then I would buy a brute or one of Kev's - I think he hires one with an auto pump out

The problem is not wash water pooling so puddle sucker wouldn't work. The problem is that the blocks are constructed on a hill, with no drains. I mean none, not one. What's worse is the road dips into residents drives and garages so in heavy rain their garages get flooded. No Soakaways in front of garages either. How this development got signed off by building control I'll never know

The pump will shift it quicker than you could put it down...don't worry about it. Find the low point (or create one ..ie sandbag he garage door) and drop the pump in it.
Don't make Carl agree with me anymore ...he will lose sleep.
