Title: Advise on creating HWE
Post by: JetVac Cleaning on June 29, 2014, 12:25:25 am
My pump on my scorpion seems to be losing pressure so was thinking rather than buy a new pump could I buy a really small pressure washer like a kranzle k7 turn it right down and put it through my diesel pressure washing hotbox on the van creating hot water extraction? Just use the scorpion for the vacuum? Can anybody recommend a better idea or will this be ok ???

Russ Chadd could probably advise on this.  But in the meantime do a search for posts by Russ Chadd probably his earliest ones and there are probably links to a similiar set up

i could just fix the pump but would really like the option of really hot water on some jobs .

The low flow will not be enough to activate the flow switch on the hot box, you will get incredible heat spikes as the hot box fires up but before the thermostat cuts in.

I successfully used the same system you are suggesting for 10 years but it took a lot of re-engineering, unless you are technically minded don't bother

I spent years messing about trying to improve performance etc and after all is said and done there is already the ultimate carpet cleaning machines in existence they are called truckmounts. Trust me nothing else comes close.
