That is a scary story, I'm glad I'm off the ladders now, he had years of experience and it can still happen.

Can happen at any time. A gas engineers ladders slipped. Nearly snapped his back. So easy to do. Insurance company's wont touch ladder work soon. When you get life insurance, doo you say your a cleaner or window cleaner? They should ask trad or wfp

This happened only a street away from my house :o 
I could be wrong but I would guess it was on one of the chalet style houses on that street ( dormer windows ). I can remember when I used to be on ladders, it was one foot on the ladder and one foot on the roof at these houses, and the window would be about 7 foot wide, so a bit of a stretch to do it in one climb, very dangerous, it was the main reason I went WFP as I have a lot of this house type.
