They rang me after you'd been and said you were far too expensive at £15.
I just said you were a greedy beggar.
-
I can't believe that you guys get a 4 bedroom house cleaned in under a day ???
It would take me at least a day and a half! :'(
I would charge about £15.

According to my missus, I'm really quick.
With you on that Ross, my missus says the same even with my bad back and all. ;)

why would anyone bother building a business charging 6-8 quid wherever you are in the country
im up norf, in wakefield currently a car valeter but starting up in windows im picking up custies for 10-15 quid. sure its slow but if i wanted to earn poope money i would have stayed in my crappy 8 pound an hour job.
id rather take longer to build the round up than be cheap

I have plenty of £8 properties, I can do between 3 and 4 of them an hour, they are £8 because of their size and they are
easy to clean
I also have the odd £6 property which never take more than 5 minutes to clean.
Your right I should give up this work and target more expensive properties.

Ive got flats at £3.
Until not too long ago, they were some of best hourly rate.
When you get 50 or 60 on a run they soon add up
-
And lazy....
;D ;D
And smells.
-
Nice to see a few being honest about how long and how much they charge!
I actually appear to be quite normal all of a sudden doing 3/4 bedroom houses in just under 30 mins at £15/20.
The only complaint I ever had was after somebody on here stated they could do ... houses an hour and I went stupid trying to equal it.
-
What some guys on hear dont realize is the guy charging 6/7 quid is making the same hourly rate as you doing 2 15 quid houses an hour, its six and half a dozen.
If I charge £6 for a 4 bed detached I can make the same or more than you guys, and thats a good job because I know how to use wfp.

I charge £15 to £20 for a 4 bed house and on modern housing estates
i can do three an hour without stretching myself
Even if i was only making £30 an hour from two properties,i guarantee
you would be working at least twice as hard to make the same, pricing
at £6
As some one has said before on here, work smart not work hard and
that includes pricing
-
Where I live (not work) there's 3 bed semi's at £12.00 and same at £7.00 round the corner they're claiming they pay £6.00.
Get what you pay for?
Chap that works for me says they should be £15.00 ::)roll
5 houses an hour at £6.00, spot on for me
-
I have to say that I am amazed at how cheap most of these prices are!!! :o How do some of you guys make a living? I have a bare minimum charge of £25, and for a 4 bedroom house I would want more! As for time, if I'm charging say £30 then I would want to be in and out in 30mins or less. I think some of you are forgetting that you are running a business!

I agree with you Gary,we have to work twice as hard.
I have to say though I dont break sweat,I go at a nice steady pace doing about 5 houses an hour at £6 or £7 a house.
My round is over 90% new builds though, nice and easy and loads in a row.

Chris, if I was you I would double all of my prices, I bet you wouldn't lose as many as you think. And even if you lost half of them, you would still be earning the same amount but with half of the work!
-
I know what your saying Groundhog,It's just not possible in some areas,I'd lose a lot less than half,
Im still earning £30 odd an hour though and not too much expences.
-
A lot more than half.

You pay the same tax but property is nothing like the same price.
I have lived in the North and in Surrey and around here an average ex council 3 bed would be around £370,000 so we are no better off.

Must be worth raising prices even if its only a£1 a property :)
