the recoil3 looks very impressive but it has no heat and no vast water tanks ( I know that auxillary tanks can be added ) but I don't think they will fit in the back of a ford escort van and how many electric cables will be needed if you add a heatermate to the 2 cables needed to run the recoil?

I understand you can have Butane heater and the waste tanks are not massive but they will carry enough to clean a house. Surely if you are cleaning large commercial premises then a larger TM was made for the job. I am talking about what would make my job simpler as a cleaner of domestic carpets.
We need a retailer for GLIDES to place under furniture for ease of moving...........not a QVC shopper ::)

How do these skidders work

As I tried using rollers in the kitchen for washing machine years ago and found they dug into floor covering and ruined it.

Place under said item and just push dead easy you can't spoil the carpet, unless the skidders are dirt!

Hi Tony

I am sure that I have seen an extraction crevice tool on Derek Ashby's stand at the various trade shows... perhaps that would do the job.

Cheers

An edging wand (3" Wide) so dont have to squat down as much.
A client told me of a Japanese unit he had seen demonstrated whilst in South Africa. As he wasnt in the business he couldnt describe any technical details but basicaly, it was a portable hwe unit. What was different, was that a tube ran from the vacuum exhaust to a special grooming brush, thereby passing hot air over the pile whilst resetting the pile - apparently drying the carpet very quickly. I wonder if this tube could be run to another down pipe integrated into a wand pushing hot air over the carpet via an opening, such as a raised front slot like the first slot on the Chemspec DD wand?

Dave,

Nice idea, but if the machine is 50 ft from the work area, this would mean that the 50ft of exhaust hose would impose double load on the vac motors and reduce cleaning efficience.

This said, when I used to use the Ultimate dry cleaning machine I did sometimes use the 20 ft exhaust hose on that for speed-drying small areas. this machine however was a single vac unit which was in the room whilst working.

Not to mention the extra unwieldiness of opereating the wand with two hoses.
