Just replaced the resin again and wondered whats the best/easiest way? For the past two years i use a safety cone upside down fill to neck then push the filter and lid down until the lid gets as far as it can and then shake the DI so that the lid drops down to the screw thread then screw on..no drama but like a cadbury's creme egg..how do you do yours ?

That sounds as good as anything else, so if you find it works for you, just keep doing it!. I found a damaged plastic drainage system in b&q, which just happened to have the correct diameter to fit in my di bottle. Got it cheap, due to the damage, and it works perfect, but essentially does the same as your cone. I think you can but funnels to fit di bottles, but if you already have something that works, i wouldn't bother :)

Daqua send out a free funnel to fill up. Works a treat

You should always fill with water before inserting the riser tube & head back in. Much easier to insert & line up the threads when the resin is suspended in water. ;)

That's what I've been told, just wasn't sure it was right as never tried. Cheers will do next time.

i bought a 5 ltr bottle of water from Tesco.
I cut the base of the bottle out and removed the lid.
Then if by magic, the perfect fitting funnel for a DI Vessel

Wow! I've been filling it dry using a cut out funnel and getting it all over the outside sink!
Very useful information, cheers
What do you do with your "used" resin?
Where is the cheapest resin at the moment?

Lol. Me too.
Tulsi on resin comes in 2 bags. The white outer with writing on and the clear inner.
Take the clear bag out, pour spent resin in the white bag.
Tie a knot in it and put at the bottom of your black bin.
Wasn't there a fella a while back who wanted our spent resin?
To rejuvenate it or something?
What happened to him? It?

I did wonder about the two bags just thought it was extra protection.
I was putting the old resin on my gravel drive, but man does that stuff stink! :o
