Title: New van ,New start
Post by: Moderator David@stives on April 01, 2006, 07:27:56 pm
My trusty old"  cowboy" volvo has gone to the great scrap yard in the sky.

I have replaced it with a shiny white vw Transporter to compliment my Tranny.

I have just finished fitting it out today and guess what no leaks.

I still have not had the tranny sign written yet ,so thats 2 that need doing.

I will post some photos of the fleet soon  ;D.

I reckon i can give up physical work for good by the end of the year, although i am not doing so bad at the moment with working less than 20 hours a week.

I am looking to taking on a third employee in a couple of weeks.

who needs canvassing or doorknocking services?. Not me

All from buying a round 8 years ago and the rest is word of mouth.

Not as big as the big boys and probably never will be, i live in the wrong part of the country for that ,i often think if i lived in a major town i could of cleaned up ages ago but i wouldnt swap Cornwall for anything.

Well that was all round the houses wasnt it.

Excellent news - well done.

Sarah - I've already told Dave that woman's too good for him.

I met them both at Windex, she's a lovely person, even laughs at his jokes, and puts in more hours than him.

I forgot to ask if she had a sister  :'(

Davie

you are right on all counts  ;D

But she would not have it any other way.

She even makes my tea and runs my bath and fetches my slippers.

Lovely  8)

One word of advice Dave , if your driving the Transporter and you put your bottle of Iron Bru in the door drink holder watch your knuckles when winding the window , YOU WILL BE IN TEARS !   :'(

But she would not have it any other way.

Am sure she would David.

The day your empire allows her to 'retire' I am sure she will show you how its really done  ;)

Not many of us real supportive, hands-on women left so make sure shes treated to slippers, baths every no and again eh.  ;)

  David,

All the best , not so long ago you were down in the dumps. How things
change if you stick at it.
