Title: Dribbling wand
Post by: Henry Roberts on June 21, 2014, 09:56:59 am
Hi Guys,

I've recently bought a new Westpac 4 jet wand which works great except that it dribbles from the jets for about 5-10 seconds after releasing the solution handle.

Any ideas?

Henry

Clean or replace  the non return filters behind the jets. These prevent the fluid left in the pipe from dribbling out.

something stuck in the plunger? maybe needs a new plunger kit? or maybe the male connector has taken a knock?

if it only leaks for 10 seconds after you stop the flow of solution then it might be filters as John says, as this will be the liquid thats left in the pipe.

But i have one of these wands too (just over a year old), and i can't remember seeing a place for the filters.

I have three Westpaks and none of them have filters, thats why I use an inline filter, never had any problems with dripping in  8 years of owning them, but although ive got inline filters I still have problems with jets clogging from time to time

one for each hand Stuart?  ;D

The inline filter you mention, do you have a link to where i could get one?

You can buy jets with filters in the back. They come apart and are easy to wash, and they also make the jet a bit closer to the ground

The Westpak wand are great if you a tall lime me ? 6ft 5 but they are not the best build quality as in terms of filters like prochem, so you need an inline, I got mine from solutions as bought the wands there to, I know cleansmart sell them as well, I think they are about £6 plus the vat
my 4 jet westpaks which I have two of has two jet holders on each side and you just screw the jets in!
There isnt anything behind the jet as ive just checked

Thanks guys, think  I  will have to purchase some non return valve filters.
