Title: Waste Water

I have got my new RO unit up and running today, but have been amazed at the amount of waste water produced.
I plan to recycle it by storing it and then purifying it next time round and so on. Does anyone else do this, or have some good tips.

What Ro have you got? It's not a great idea to try purifying the waste by feeding it through the ro again, you'll clog up your ro membrane big style. All those tds have to go somewhere!!

Waste water will have a very high tds, therefore dont recycle it. If you do it again and again you will sludge up your fillters and membranes on your R/O.

Just checked the TDS of the waste water, and it was very high.
Fair point about it clogging up the membranes and filters, I will just pour the waste down the drain. Just seems a shame to be wasting so much water.

as summer is here (or about to be) get a tank for the waste water and it will come in handy for the garden

Im fitting a tank in my attic to use as a flush for the 2 upstairs toilets ( i would use it on the downstairs aswell, BUT its a pain to run the pipe work and hide it)

might aswell try and save a bit of water as im on a meter
