Urgent ,what do you charge for cleaning wool carpets with the sawdust type stuff ,can't remember its proper name , is it double the price of a normal cleaning , I charge 45 55 first carpets then 30. Every one after that, standard size rooms ,mor and more people are asking me for this service
-
Add £10 per room for the product(look up Host Dry Cleaning )
-
Strangely I get more and more people making sure I don't use this system because they have not been impressed when it's been used by previous carpet cleaning companies and I have got loads of jobs because of this.
Each to their own but I don't let customers dictate to me how their carpets should be cleaned.
I find customers who do this and also ask a million questions are the ones to be wary of!

never used it, but do not think sponges can properly clean wool
-
More cons than pros IMO. Can't flush out stains properly, get into corners, same with stairs & nosings.
'sawdust' left in carpet, 20 min to 30 min waiting to dry so you can hoover.
Expensive product cost compared to HWE.

I read on the Rainbow Web site a few years back that it can turn the carpet yellow
-
That's because it's not been vacuumed out properly.
Kerry if someone is wanting a dry clean of their carpets they must have to pay a premium I'm pretty sure it could cost more than £10 a room and also take considerably longer to do.

So people are asking for 'sawdust' carpet cleaning? Or are they asking for dry carpet cleaning?

I do quite a lot of dry carpet cleaning, a lot of customers don't supply much in the way of liquid refreshments these days.

Was that a joke Derek! ;)

Afraid so, forgot the smiley ;D

If it's a wool carpet you will need to use the soft (gold for HOST) brushes to avoid damage to pile.
