Title: Q Washers mudsucker?
Post by: Rob@Blast off on June 10, 2014, 12:25:41 pm
Has anyone used or got one of the Q washers mudsuckers? Am I right in thinking if I've got pools of standing mucky water I can use one of these to pump it away?
As I've got a job coming up where the patio falls away from the drains so need someway of getting it towards the drains any ideas?

they are good at moving large amounts quickly but you need a small amount over a longer period and a puddle pump is better for that

Have bit the bullet and ordered one as i don't want to be using electricity anywhere near water so hopefully it will come in handy and not just be another ornament in the van.

I have one, really good if you need to move a lot of water quickly. Order the 10m as the standard one is a bit short.

Looks great I need to get that or something very similar, had a few drives this week that the drainage was down hill towards house/garage with no drainage! The people who lay these need shot!!  How long do you think the outlet hose can go? Would it work with a 20/30 metre hose?

Thanks Gavin

I'm a bit stumped by this,

To remove standing water/flooding you put the mudsucker on the end of your hose/lance place in water and turn on PW ?  Do you keep it running until the water is gone or is there a syphon effect so when water starts down pipe you turn off PW?

Do you, can you have it fitted to end of lance or just hose ?

Cheers
