Let's cut to the chase and dispel the myths of yet another sales company spouting the same old tired twaddle!
ITS NOT FREE, IT COSTS 200 QUID FOR A BAG OF LEAFLETS & YOUR COMPANY NAME ON A DIRECTORY THAT NO ONE HAS EVER HEARD OFF!
Why do the people in charge of this forum allow this outdated nonsense to pollute our environment and empty the pockets of the few folks who still might fall for this guff!

Don't hold back JD - tell us all how you really feel! ;D ;D

Their ad on here is the weakest I've seen for a while.
-
These kind of things make my blood boil Nat ! :(
We don't allow this nonsense on the ACS Forum, do we Nat!
Its a weak link alright Poleking & as Bob asks "Who is Clensa" says it all !
-
Do the forum sell on our details?
I've had an email from Clensa today ...
-
Try it - what can you loose?

£200 is what you lose!

OK what is £200 to you guys

£200.00
A fool and his money...............

Indeed it is a poor ad - but it is for Sales and Marketing TRAINING - so a bit different to the subject line on this thread.
They don't tell enough about themselves before asking for name/company name/email address. If I were seeking this sort of service, they have to EARN such info before I give it.
It sounds like they advertise it as free but charge £200.
I haven't progressed through the ad to establish this as they haven't earned my details - but if this is the case, perhaps the forum owner would like to check to see whether or not the advertising is misleading - perhaps even illegal.
-
The forum owner is making money out of it so yes going to continue to let the dregs of society advertise what they want ! And I don't blame him, I'd let these conmen advertise to if they paid me!

I wouldn't if I felt that the ad was misleading, illegal or both. But maybe that's why I'm a lousy businessman.

Just noticed that I also have an email from CLENSA.
So I ask this question.
Do CIU pass on the email addresses? I do not want my email address passed on. How do I stop it?
I don't recall opting in for my email to be passed on. Maybe I failed to spot that I needed to opt out. How do I opt out?
I have unsubscribed from clensa emails but I don't want to have to do this each time - and who knows who THEY may pass it on to?
-
A bit more on this. I did a little digging around as if I were a potential advertiser.
At the bottom of the adertising campaigns page I came across this:
"Benefits:
- Sent to over 23,000 registered members
- Gets sent straight to their inbox so can't be missed "
I don't know if there is a choice in this matter but I don't want these emails. It's not so much about the initial advertiser as the probability of email address propagation. I don't recall consenting to this but I acknowledge that, like most people, I don't read T & C's too thoroughly.

Hey guys to clear this up we have NEVER and will NEVER pass on our members details. This is something we have always stood very firmly on as we like to protect our members details and trust me we have some amazing offers for this in the past!
The portion of text you are referring to is when an advertiser can be placed in our monthly email campaign that we send to you guys, there is no way they can send you emails direct from anything we have done.
What I would suggest is making sure that your email address in your profile is set to hidden so no-one can see your email address.
Hope this clears things up.

It does indeed.
Thanks for taking the trouble to respond Mr Admin.
Best wishes.
