Title: cleaning tasels on rugs
Post by: Michael D on March 31, 2006, 06:13:19 pm
Hi all
Just been asked to clean 6 rugs, all have tasels on them, and most are very dirty. What is the best way to clean them. Have tried in the past with my own, but they look bad when wet, any advice  please.

i was shown a trick with a cork from a bottle where once pre sprayed rolled over the tassle away from the rog and presto dirty water is extracted, try this and see for yourself

Forget about the cork, you'll be there all day. Use a wallpaper seam roller much quicker and more sensible.

if they're white and still look brown or discoloured after cleaning i normally use  some hydrogen peroxide or oxibrite and it bleaches them white again.
