Title: Power washing
Post by: Spursboy1972 on June 02, 2014, 04:56:07 pm
Hi, I don't get a lot of casll for power washing but a very important customer of mine wants his block paved driveway cleaned. Will a standard marcher (mid range) machine with a rotary scrubber attached suffice or do I need something more industrial. Its a big drive (15 cars) I was hoping with a decent chemical and this machine I should be ok? Any advice is good.. Also what chemical?

Sorry but chances are you'll be there for a long time with that set up! Why can't you just sub it out?

Neil is right.

How much have you got to spend, to get a starter set up?

Customer is expecting 2 days. How much would a starter set up cost?

If you buy something like your'e suggesting do you show yourself as a professional or someone who is using a domestic set up.

I'm not going to say that it is wrong but if someone came to your house and did that what would you think?

I would spend as much as I could, possibly making a loss on the 1st job but knowing I have bought, possibly second hand, decent kit that won't let me down, moving forward.

Something else to think about - do a decent job, with the right kit and money talks.

He will recommend you to the people he knows.

Do a crap job and you know the rest ;)

Hey Spursboy,

You could just hire the proper kit, Honda 390 + Fsc for £80-ish  for the day from your local hire center and add it to the invoice.

Ditto

Before doing PW as a service I got a job to clean a large fibreglass pool roof so I hired the pressure washer, telescopic lance and added that into the price

Decline or sub or risk losing them
