Get yourselfs down to Aldi and pick up one of the carpet stretchers they have just got in....................£20.00 :o
If you have not already got one its an essential tool for any carpet cleaner.
They also have the hammer stapler in for £14.00.

Paris.... if you know what you are doing.... you don't shrink carpets and therefore do not need to spend £20 on an item to gather dust in the back of the ford escort estate...

And if 'you' were a professional you would know to have one available for those times when 'before' you have cleaned a carpet it might need putting back on the gripper or maybe for fitting new gripper and underlay or carpet after an uplift.
This is all new to you get yourself on a course ;)

Sorry bud... I clean carpets... I don't fit em... master of 1 trade, not a jack of all.. ;D
If the custard doesn't care enough to have them properly fitted before I get there, I walk....
