Hi David ESSEX POWER WASHING
just wondering how much you are getting per sq meter block paving cleaned and sanded

depends if its really bad with 2 foot high weeds or if its really clean and done every year, depends if it's one large square area or lots of tiny little paths, depends if its good drainage and slopes etc or if your gona be chasing mucky water away to the nearest grid for most of the day, depends if you have a cheap karcher or a top of the range jetter....... there is no fixed square meterage price for block paving in my eyes, and I tell this to the customer, it also helps me win work when I tell them price per m2 is for inexperienced contractors and then relay the reasons why  :)
The only time I measure a driveway is if I'm sealing it to work out the amount of sealer to buy or to tell them how expensive it would have been to go with someone who charges x amount per meter  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thanks for that large areas of poor condition 20% weeds rest algae and moss pace out and quote £2 to shock then gauge time and materials seems to work out at £1.50 if I'm lucky

just check local cleaners, some advertise there prices on site, its all down to experience,   setting up, filling butt up, good waterflow, outside tap.
you cant buy experience.

I charge 3.75 psm for blocks and 2.50 psm for slabs or decking?  I get 90% of small to medium jobs but loose some of the bigger ones. I would rather lose a few jobs because of price shoppers and have a day off here and there than work for next to nothing.

We end up too cheap on the big jobs so now on we quote properly.  The amount of big jobs we have done and regretted giving them a cheap quote. So now we would rather not get the job unless they pay what we want.

Couldn't agree more , it's not our fault they have large paved areas so why not charge your normal rate

Exactly David. They have to pay what you charge or they don't get the job done.

£1.50 for a clean and sand?

And I thought my competitors screw me on price.
