Title: tarmac cleaning

ive been asked to clean a long driveway,  tarmac with green algae on areas.
whats the best nozzle to clean tarmac, he says its newish laid, so hopefully should be smooth.

your cleaning techniques will be greatly apreciated.      i cleaned my own with turbo but seemed to leave marks from turbo.

is it best to use anything prior or after to remove green staining from akgae and moss,

Use a flat nozzle. Gauge how close you need to be by starting away from the surface and moving closer.

Tarmac is much easier to clean this way.

I always get tarmac blindness when cleaning it, once its wet I find it difficult to see where I have cleaned !  ;D

i know theres sprays to put on to stop algae,    shall i just advise homeowner to do this themselves,  such as Lichenite or Algon.     Lichenite seems a wee bit too much to purchase if i wouldnt use it much.
is there any thing else not so expensive for me to treat it after clean,.
or just wash+go

you would need to treat before powerwashing , ive used patio magic on tarmac and it has to dwell for a minium of 48 hours in dry weather and it works , it all depends on your customer , will he pay for treatment and powerwashing,either way the powerwashing will blast out the moss and algae.

watered down bleach,   would this mark the tarmac,  id think so. ill let him decide,  its all experience for new customers

just been to view,    mainly moss in certain areas, he said just make it disapear, and treat it with a moss/algae cleaner.

would i be best treating it first      or after a good powerwash.   

which one is recomended.

looking through youtube people just spray these moss/ algae sprays and just leave it for moss to die off without power washing.       i could tell him that or just powerwash it to get rid of green moss, then spray with a moss killer when its dried,    tell him to apply again in areas when he sees it apearing again,   drive and driveway in very shaded area covered by trees.

that id do, then he says i could go back and spray when im needed.    i told him it will not disapear permantelly, he seems happy if i just clean it for him.         Its all good public relations, keeping them happy
